The Staff! The property is managed by Mahesh and his lovely wife Monica along with their support staff. They collect you from the airport and take care of every aspect of your holiday from meals for children and adults (which are on par with any top restaurant I’ve ever eaten at), helping organise the staff to care for your children, organising day trips to surrounding gems and even organising for a doctors visit as we needed.
The villa is perched on a hill so you need to walk a lot of steps to get to the beach below. Well worth it though as the view is magical and you need to burn off calories from eating so much food!
Would you stay there again? Absolutely. I would go back tomorrow if I could!
Could you recommend any restaurants/cafes/bars for eating out with children?
We didn’t want to leave Korovesi for meals as the food provided was second to none. They prepared food for the children (which they loved!) and cooked an amazing array of meals which always included the fish we freshly caught each morning on our fishing trip!
Things to do?
Hiring the boat for the week is a must!
My husband and I went fishing every morning at 6am and caught something without fail. I was not a fan of fishing, nor early mornings, but this was by far the highlight of the trip. Mahesh would greet us each morning with a coffee before we headed down to the boat where Jack would be waiting to take us out. One of his staff (Valerie) would go to the room as we left and wait for the children to wake before getting them dressed and seated for breakfast before our return at 8am. It was the most enjoyable 2 hours of the day, driving around in a boat trawling for fish and watching the sun rise – not to mention spending 2 hours of glorious uninterrupted time with my husband to chat and have a laugh, whale spotting and seeing pods of dolphins swim beside our boat! We also used the boat to go for a few day trips to Shy Guy Beach (a gorgeous sand island) and a beautiful waterfall accessed only through a very traditional local village.
